This work by Fedoskino artist S. Parmenov shows a panoramic view of the Russian countryside early in the morning during a summer's day. The sun is painted at the pinnacle of the dome shaped box, so that if you view the landscape from the side and rotate the box in your hands, the sun will always be there, just slightly above the horizon. The landscape is filled with beautifully painted natural images of mother earth, like soft rolling hills, calm blue water, and multicolored trees.

The box is made out of high quality papier mache, has a hinge, and opens at the very bottom. There is a handsome gold line ornament there as well. The interior is red. Signed with the name of the artist.
