Jolly Old St. Nick is shown in this box painted by Fedoskino artist Z. Bobkova. A book is opened to the "Good Boys" and "Good Girls" page and we are sure the kind old gentlemen will give everyone the benefit of the doubt when he starts writing. The colors are vivid and the details are expertly drawn. A collection of snowflakes, no two exactly alike, form around the edges of the box and give the box another healthy dose of Christmas spirit. The sides of the box have dark squiggly lines drawn against a silvery and bluish background. The bottom of the box is black and the interior is red. It is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the left. Signed with the name of the artist, village and title. A very cute box that will be a family heirloom for many Christmases to come.
