Groups of trees stand alongside a creek that meanders through rolling fields somewhere outside of town. An inlay of mother of pearl provides a glimmer of light between the taller trees in the center of the composition. The artist wisely chose to keep this inlay very subtle so as not to overpower the rest of the quiet, if not poetic, scenery. The sides are decorated with a metallic soft pink with a branch like network of thin black lines. The bottom is flush. The box has a hinge at the top and is signed with the name of the artist (S. Parmenov). A beautiful landscape with understated beauty.
