The brilliant golden hair of a dancer seems to take on a life of its own as she twirls and spins in time with the music. Her eyes gaze into the distance and a smile plays upon her lips as she loses herself to the melody. The youthful musician in renaissance garb smiles softly as the music pours forth. The background of pale blue echoes the cascading ripples of the dancer's skirt as it grows denser and more abstract farther from the center before melting into a marbled design on the flush base. This box is made of high quality papier mache and is signed on the lid with the artist's name (M. Mochalova) and village. There is a hinge on the left, and the interior is red lacquer.
