Diaphonous swirls of purple and blue part to reveal a pocelain skinned beauty. A cascade of tangled blue tresses frame the pale face of a woman who seems carved from moonlight with eyes the deep blue of a summer night. A background of soft blue and pruple swirls against a shimmering silver background creates a stunning contrast with the realistically painted figure. The repetition of curves throughout the composition adds a sense of movement, while creatng a sensual feel. The sheer abstract swirls drape over the sides of the box before pooling on its flush base. This box is made of high quality papier mache and is signed on its base with the title, artist's name (S. Chirkova), village, and date of completion. There is a hinge on the left, and the interior is deep red lacquer. Exquisite.
