Artist Profile - Yurij Dotsenko
Yurij Dotsenko was born in Moscow in 1962. He graduated the Fedoskino art school in 1986 and since that time he has worked at the Fedoskino factory. Beginning in 1993 he participated in various art exhibitions, including "200 Years of Fedoskino Art" to commemorate the anniversary of this village. Dotsenko participated in exhibitions at the Central House of Artists in 1995 and 1996. In 1999, he participated at the 9th Annual All-Russian exhibition at the Manezh Hall in the center of Moscow. The Fedoskino museum has two of his works on display in their permanent collecton. His box "Tale of Tsar Saltan" is in the book 200 Years of Russian Lacquery by L. Pirogova, 1996. Another of his boxes, "Ivan and Marya" is in the Fedoskino catalog, 1995. Dotsenko creates his own original works and considers fairy tale scenes and the drawing of architecture to be his strengths. Dotsenko is married and likes to travel and do photography. |
