A wooden ship is peacefully glazing on deep blue water nearby, its mast and ropes disappearing into the pink sunset.This tranquil composition is painted on a papier mache box. The inside of the box is traditional red. The box sits flat and opens without a hinge. Signed with the artist's initials and name of the village. "Made in USSR" is inscribed on the bottom of the box. With the exception of one barely visible scratch on the top part of the lid, box and lacquer are in very good condition, especially considering the age of the box.
