A girl with blue eyes and light brown hair sits calmly with a armful of flowers, interlocking her fingers so that she can hold them all. Even W. C. Fields (who said he didn't like children) would like this girl. She is as cute as can be and is drawn to perfection. The variety of flowers that she holds in her hand, meanwhile, beautifully complements the portrait and enhances the beauty of the scene without making it too sweet. The focus is on her and the flowers, and the image in the background is more abstract, but the shapes are formed just well enough to give you the feeling that she is at the edge of a field near trees. The composition is framed with a gold line ornament, and there is another one around the sides as well. The fairly large box is made out of high quality papier mache and lies flat. There is a hinge at the left, and the interior is red. Signed at the bottom of the drawing with the name of the artist and village.
