The captive princess Ludmila lifts the wicked sorcerer Chernomor's magic hat above her head. The hat grants invisibility to its wearer, and Ludmila would be happy to hide from Chernomor, for, despite the beautiful palace and fine treatment, she is still a prisoner! Generous metallic accents glisten throughout the scene. This box is made of high quality papier mache and is signed on the base with the artist's name (Mikhail Nebogatov), village, and date of completion. There is no hinge, and the interior is red lacquer. It rests on three round legs.
